Completely hand-built using the coil-building technique, Moonkeeper considers why humanity has long created vessels that invite reverence. Through its crowned, lidded form, the work draws upon enduring visual languages of protection, offering and devotion, in which the act of opening becomes both physical and symbolic. Gothic tracery and the luna moth are brought together not as decoration, but as inherited forms that continue to shape our understanding of mystery, transformation and the sacred. Rather than looking to the past with nostalgia, the work asks whether these ancient languages still have the power to invite wonder.

Their value lies not in utility alone, but in the stories, symbolism and human presence embedded within their making.
