Moonkeeper considers why humanity has long created vessels that invite reverence. Through its crowned, lidded form, the work draws upon enduring visual languages of protection, offering and devotion, in which the act of opening becomes both physical and symbolic. Gothic tracery and the luna moth are brought together not as decoration, but as inherited forms that continue to shape our understanding of mystery, transformation and the sacred. Rather than looking to the past with nostalgia, the work asks whether these ancient languages still have the power to invite wonder.

Built slowly by hand, each sculpture retains the evidence of its making - the minute shifts in symmetry, surface and form that emerge through the coil-building process. These traces are not corrected away but remain part of the life of the object: evidence of the time, touch and attention embedded within it.
